Position Summary: Performs daily in-process and final inspection per the engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct independent evaluation of product quality to determine its fitness for use and conformance to specifications.

Core Responsibilities:

QC scope:

• Perform daily in-process and final inspection audits.

• Assist, lead solving quality issues.

• Define and visualize TOP quality defects in assigned area and address the issues.

• Performs assigned physical tests as outlined by Q. C. procedures.

• Maintains documentation and files items in assigned areas.

• Performs other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo Penta goals and objectives.

• Assist in investigating customer field failures.

• Support other roles in QC when needed.

EHS , VPS scope:

• Support EHS role with different tasks as per defined scope and needs.

• Support VPS function with different tasks as per defined scope and needs.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.

• Positive attitude, capable of active listening, initiative in action, solution-oriented attitude.

• Computer skills.

• Demonstrate change management in practice.

• Lean thinking.

• Organizational skills.

• Analytical thinking and capability of drawing the conclusions and defining the actions.

• Capable of reading engineering drawings and specifications to follow instructions for these documents.

• Requires full range of vision, hand/eye coordination and manipulative ability to use tools and equipment.

• Must be capable of performing most jobs in department. Ability to train other employees, co-ordinate work flow and assist coach in directing duties of other team members.

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent required.

• Hand tools – measuring type (calipers, dial calipers, micrometer, height gage, etc.

• Computer skills.

• Lean academy classes would be an additional asset.
