Cabinet Peaks Medical Center Floor Technician, Full Time in Libby, Montana

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is looking for a Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services Team!

This position is responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of flooring throughout the medical center and ancillary buildings. The Floor Technician must monitor inventory of floor care supplies and ensure the proper working condition of all floor care equipment.

Major Job Duties & Responsibilities

Performs salvage operations on floors including stripping, waxing, spotting, bonnet buffing and extracting on medical center and ancillary buildings an needed.

Buffs, burnishes, and/or mops tile floors daily or as needed.

Cleans required carpet areas by vacuum cleaner or extractor.

Maintains floor care and storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.

Assists in moving furniture and equipments as needed.

Keeps all floor care equipment cleaned, up to date on preventive maintenance, stored properly and reports all equipment failures or problems appropriately.

Uses chemicals appropriately.

Refills all necessary supplies and dispensers as required.

Responds to pages in a timely and appropriate manner.

Wears personal protective equipment as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of commercial floor cleaners and equipment preferred.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including basic computer use.

Must meet all local health regulation requirements including a criminal background investigation and reference inquiry

Experience

Previous floor technician experience preferred, including knowledge of infection control.

Educational Requirements

High School Education or equivalent.

Schedule

Primarily eight (8) hour shifts. Hours may change or rotate as needed. Weekends, holidays and other shifts may be required to provide coverage and perform the necessary duties. Days worked and shift times are subject to change at the request of the manager.
