Description

We are in search of a meticulous, part-time Payroll Accountant for our Health firm in Liberty Corner, New Jersey. This role is centered around ensuring compliance and accuracy in all aspects of payroll implementation and processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering new jurisdictions, researching discrepancies, and performing calculations, in addition to regular payroll processing. This position offers a short-term, part-time contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Register new jurisdictions in our payroll system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

• Research and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.

• Perform calculations for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Process bi-monthly payroll for a diverse workforce in a multi-state environment.

• Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and prepare payroll tax reports.

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax deposits and returns.

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and streamline accounting functions.

• Conduct regular auditing of payroll records and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Resolve payroll tax inquiries from employees and governmental agencies.

• Stay updated on changes in local payroll tax laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to our payroll processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with all Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Local Payroll Tax regulations

• Understanding of Payroll Taxes

• Ability to manage Payroll Transactions

• Experience in preparing Payroll Tax Returns

• Proficiency in Payroll Tax Reporting

• Experience in managing Payroll Tax Deposits

• Familiarity with bi-Monthly Payroll systems

• Experience with Multi-state Payroll operations
