Adecco US, Inc. Assistant Property Manager in Libertyville, Illinois

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. This role requires expertise in managing properties with HUD and Section 8 programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with these programs and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations, maintaining high tenant satisfaction, and supporting the Property Manager in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HUD and Section 8 Compliance:

  2. Assist in managing properties in compliance with HUD and Section 8 regulations.

  3. Ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and submitted on time.

  4. Coordinate with HUD and local housing authorities to resolve any compliance issues or discrepancies.

  5. Facilitate the process for tenant applications, renewals, and recertifications under HUD and Section 8 programs.

  6. Tenant Relations:

  7. Serve as a point of contact for tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.

  8. Address and resolve tenant issues and complaints promptly and professionally.

  9. Conduct regular tenant satisfaction surveys and implement improvements based on feedback.

  10. Property Maintenance:

  11. Assist in overseeing the maintenance and repair of properties, ensuring that they are in good condition and meet safety standards.

  12. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, including routine inspections and emergency repairs.

  13. Monitor the performance of maintenance staff and contractors.

  14. Leasing and Rent Collection:

  15. Support the leasing process, including advertising vacant units, processing applications, and conducting showings.

  16. Assist in the preparation of lease agreements and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.

  17. Monitor rent payments and follow up on delinquent accounts, working with tenants to establish payment plans if needed.

  18. Administrative Duties:

  19. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for tenant files, lease agreements, and property inspections.

  20. Prepare and distribute tenant notices, newsletters, and other communication materials.

  21. Assist in preparing monthly and annual reports for property performance and financial status.

  22. Team Support:

  23. Support the Property Manager in the overall management of the property portfolio.

  24. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to strategic planning and problem-solving.

  25. Provide training and guidance to junior staff and maintenance personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in property management with a strong focus on HUD and Section 8 programs.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HUD and Section 8 regulations, as well as local and federal housing laws.

  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with property management software and basic office applications (e.g., MS Office Suite).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in property management, business administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) are a plus.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
