Responsibilities

Use milling machine, lathes, surface grinders, and drill press to provide various products to increase production efficiency Work from work orders, specifications, drawings, samples, manuals, handbook formulas, schedules, schematic, wiring diagrams and instructions. Have the ability to fabricate using ARC, Gas and Tig welding and cut, thread and bend pipe Possess basic skills of carpentry and plumbing Install, maintain and repair printing presses and auxiliary equipment such as folders, collators, bindery units, buildings and environmental control devices. Diagnose problems with existing production equipment, auxiliary units and purchased used equipment, analyze and evaluate conditions and necessary repairs or modifications required, estimate costs and determine most economical methods to obtain results consistent with reductions needs, outside service capabilities or in-house limitations Dissemble equipment and analyze complicated, interrelated mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic functions, singly or in combinations to activate devices, and intricate, high-speed operations to extremely close tolerances Determine extent of repairs required, repair or replace parts to include scraping bearing, fitting and aligning, and test for proper operations
