Aldridge Logistics Coordinator in Libertyville, Illinois

Logistics Coordinator

What we are looking for:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in carrier development, rate negotiations, and ensuring operational efficiency within the logistics department. This position is responsible for managing heavy haul requests, obtaining permits, and coordinating escorts for internal moves while prioritizing safety and compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage heavy haul requests primarily in the East and Southeast regions, with other regions as needed.

  • Ordering state and local permits for internal moves.

  • Ordering, managing and scheduling civilian and police escorts for internal moves.

  • Facilitate carrier development and negotiate rates.

  • Provide pricing to internal operations.

  • Enter and update data in multiple systems.

  • Provide project management teams with hauling and permit job costs.

  • Develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency and compliance

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction, transportation or union trade experience preferred.

  • Excellent Communication skills and work ethic.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong project management skills and track record of balancing competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.

  • Solid and broad understanding of all aspects of fiscal management and information technology.

  • Heavy haul transportation experience

  • Permit ordering experience.

  • Proficiency in both the Microsoft Office and Google suites.
