What we are looking for:
As a top leader in the industry, we created a program that is designed to introduce young professionals to the trades and allow them to build a pathway here at Aldridge. Aldridge's Track to the Trades program is tailored to high school graduates and those two years out of high school to facilitate their seamless integration into our processes and projects. Participants in this program can expect training sessions, hands-on activities, and on-the-job learning experiences that will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their jobs successfully. They will also work collaboratively with project teams and learn about the trades and the different avenues that they can lead to.
What you’ll do:
Duties include:
Working with PreFab, warehouse, and project teams on project builds
Learning to gain exposure to our different types of trades
Gaining knowledge of field engineers' and project managers' responsibilities
Reading blueprints to help with takeoffs and building process
Gaining welding experience and knowledge of tools and material
Obtaining a forklift certification
Traveling to job sites and performing safety observations
Moving material from one shop to the other
Climbing ladders
Holding loads overhead and in position
Climbing in and out of forklifts
Who you are:
We are pursuing high school graduates with the following qualifications:
Expected graduation between May and June 2025
Candidates who graduated in 2023 or 2024
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to follow direction and take initiative
Must be reliable and consistently arrive on time
