Opportunity International AgFinance Curriculum Manager in Lilongwe, Malawi

The AgFinance Curriculum Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of effective training content to be delivered to client groups through Farmer Support Agent (FSA) networks. The AgFinance Curriculum Manager will be responsible for monitoring the quality of training delivery, ensuring project deliverables are met, and proposing recommended solutions to implementation hurdles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES – Other duties may be assigned.

Support Curriculum Development Strategy

  • Assist in developing a training curriculum program and implementation strategy with the Director of Client Services

  • Work with clients and partners to identify additional training content needs

  • Collaborate with financial institution partners to ensure their training requirements and understood and catered for

  • Support new training areas, including Regenerative Agriculture, and Youth Workforce Development curriculum planning

Manage Training Content

  • Collate and organize all AgFinance training curricula, identify gaps by country/crop and by content area

  • Standardize all training across the Farmer Support Agent networks

  • Digitize appropriate content for delivery through the FSA networks

  • Provide technical support to the Client Services Manager & FSA Project Officers and other implementation partners in countries of operation

  • Work with partners to ensure that the training content delivered to clients meets their needs

Monitoring Training

  • Monitor the quality of training delivered to partners and clients & develop actionable reports to be shared with project partners in various countries

  • Work with the OI AgFinance team on the development of internal and external narrative reports on delivery and impact of trainings

  • Monitor training data integrity, analytics, and output metrics; identify data needs and produce monthly reports to share with relevant partners

  • Work with the Impact Measurement Manager to survey and research outcomes and impacts of training

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY      

  • None

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing effective training content for rural clients

  • Demonstrated ability in effective content writing as well as the ability to synthesize training content from varied sources

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, Android Apps. Experience in digital content creation is an added advantage

  • Relevant professional qualifications in adult learning or education provides an added advantage

  • Project management skills to effectively perform activities/tasks in a manner that consistently achieves high standards

LANGUAGE

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • French provides added advantage

  • Ability and willingness to travel within Africa up to 30% of the time.
