Camping World Event Production Manager in Lincolnshire, Illinois

Camping World is looking for an Event Production Manager to join our premier in-house production and events team. As an Event Production Manager, you will oversee all the technical and live production components of our events including live streaming, live event audio/video, network, and power needs. You will be responsible for planning and executing a wide variety of events across the country. This role would be responsible for every aspect of event production including contracting local vendors, renting equipment, event set up, tear down, and coordination of equipment to the next event. Camping World and our affiliate companies aims to promote our brand and the RV & Outdoor lifestyle in all our events ranging from RV shows, live auctions, sponsorship activations and more.

This role is ideal for someone that is technically savvy, a critical thinker, and loves to travel. This person is a problem solver and can navigate complex situations to ensure a positive outcome on every project. The most important part of every event is in the details and this person would be responsible for ensuring everything is planned, communicated, and organized before and during an event. This position will be local to the Chicagoland area, traveling between our Chicago and Lincolnshire office, as well as other locations throughout the US, travel requirement 50%

Responsibilities

  • Manage all event audio and visual needs including physically setting up and maintaining PA systems, LED video walls, staging, and lighting

  • Facilitate live video streaming when needed at events including running graphics, video switchers, cameras, and video feeds to multiple destinations

  • Collaborate with our in-house IT team to ensure you have the proper internet and network access at the event location

  • Conduct site visits or coordinate with the host location to formulate a site plan ensuring power needs are met

  • Manage and maintain all equipment needed for event production

  • Travel to events and facility set up and tear down

  • Manage tight time frames and have the ability to be nimble and pivot quickly to changing business needs

  • Coordinate transport of any trailers or equipment needed from event to event

  • Hire and manage any vendors needed to support larger scale events not able to be done entirely in house

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field and/or equivalent related professional experience

  • 2+ years live production experience

  • Strong understanding or background working with production technology, video/audio equipment and IT infrastructure

  • Hands on experience physically setting up LED video walls, staging, lighting

  • Meticulous with detail, capable of innovative and creative thinking, with a focus on organization and process

  • Ability to accurately translate business requirements, organize resources, and produce high impact events

  • Strong interpersonal skills with high degree of personal integrity; strong listening, creative thinking, and execution skills a necessity

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in light of the high volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, as well as rapidly gather and create actionable information and develop creative recommendations

Pay Range:

$75,390.00-$113,032.50 Annual
