Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Process Lead is responsible for supporting the Assistant Warehouse Manager in the daily management of all the warehousing functions including receiving, Inventory storage, packing, and outbound order shipping ensuring the receipt, warehouse coordination, quality maintenance and safety of goods coming through the warehouse. Within specific limits, makes independent decisions regarding the planning, organizing, and scheduling of the work involved.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in supervising and coordinating activities of workers concerned with picking product and preparing it for same day shipping, both nationally and internationally, and via expedited carrier services

Train, motivate, and monitor performance of the Warehouse Team and provide constructive feedback as necessary

Improve area operations, efficiency and servicing to both internal and external customers. This includes understanding S4 HANA processes, identifying and fixing issues, and uniformly training staff.

Monitor the unloading of all materials, ensure materials are staged for quality and quantity Verification

Report material received and confirm receiving reports accuracy

Monitor and measure warehouse performance to ensure efficient, effective movement and storage of material

Resolve discrepancies regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiving paperwork

Research and resolve quality/quantity discrepancies

Ensure materials/engines are staged for counting and inspection

Responsible for preparing outbound shipments on schedule and communicating with Customer Service on and issues or discrepancies

Maintain and manage the flow of paperwork for timely data entry

Monitor shipments to ensure customer specific requirements are met

Routinely enter and extract data from the appropriate computer system/software

Participate in continuous inventory cycle-count and yearly physical inventory as needed

Adhere to warehouse quality control guidelines and standards; make appropriate suggestions for improvements

Aide Assistant Warehouse Manager in establishing new processes for warehouse improvements

Drive forklift in a safe manner ensuring loads are stable and secure

Maintain an orderly work environment by ensuring general maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas

Monitor the work of other material handlers in the warehouse, planners and projects to ensure appropriate process, quality and quantity of work, staff needs and training requirements

Make recommendations related to training and coaching

General housekeeping which includes sweeping, dusting, and mopping

Maintain an organized and secure work environment

Support co-workers in other departments as needed

Inform Manager of all noteworthy activities

Follow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and procedures

Assists in the oversight of Warehouse staff

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of packaging methods and ability to determine packaging requirements

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; be reliable and punctual

Effective team leadership skills

Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines, maintain a flexible attitude and approach towards assignments, and maintain level of organization in a changing and fast paced environment

Good command of the English language, both written and verbal

Intermediate knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

Strong knowledge of computerized inventory system

Ability to operate fork lift trucks

Experience with UPS/FEDEX online sof
