Job Title: Quality Inspector

$28-$30/HR

Job Description

Candidates that best fit the profile are skilled in quality inspection utilized in the manufacturing of precision machined components. The area of focus includes but is not limited to the performance of 1st Article and Final Inspection (Visual and Dimensional) of the product, along with the recording and analysis of inspection data. Other activities may include the support of statistical process control, sampling plans, data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action, and other Quality System activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Inspecting medical machined part components both low and high-volume

  • Operating and setting up CMM machines (Mitutoyo CMM but experience with any brand is acceptable)

  • Perform 1st Article and final inspections of Medical Device Components

  • Support In-Process inspections on the shop floor as needed

  • Accurately document all work performed on inspection reports and traveler

  • Recognize quality issues and communicate with management

  • Assist with Return Material Authorization (RMA)

  • Support the Quality team with ISO compliance

  • Interface with ERP software, JobBOSS software, and Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel) regularly

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of device history records to ensure good documentation practices are performed

Hard Skills

  • 5 years or more of quality inspection experience in the medical device machined components industry

  • CMM operating experience

  • GD&T and the ability to read Engineering Drawings

Work Environment

Very clean and organized medical manufacturing facility with a lot of new equipment. Modern conference and break rooms.
