Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Government Property Processor to support its Contracts Administration organization. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.

Essential Function:

Perform a variety of duties applicable to receiving, conducting inventories, reporting, accounting, recording and disposing of customer/Government owned property in accordance with customer/Government regulations and NGES policy and procedures.

Perform duties of lower coded classification 10B128, Government Property Inventory Clerk.

Upon receipt of the property, assign a control number, create record in system of record, as required. If the property is to bypass the storeroom, request the proper documentation for record purposes and coordinate record creation, as required.

Make up inventory records for special tools and test equipment and apply bar code label(s) after consulting the assigned professional(s). Assist department with record creation and assuring property is properly identified with bar codes and update location, custodian and physical inventory date for respective property.

Conduct physical inventories of all customer/Government property accountable to the customer order or Government contract located within the division or local satellites under jurisdiction. Apply dated inventory stickers to items inventoried when applicable and update system of record, as required. Discuss problems on inventories with assigned professional(s) and attempt to resolve any problems encountered.

Check for proper use, care and maintenance of property and report all misuse and improper maintenance to the professional or property manager.

Ability to organize data, organize schedule, work with minimal supervision to inventory property and resolve inventory variances. Interface with a multitude of internal customers: Engineers, Program Managers, Operations and Logistics personnel to reduce inventory variances and resolve problems within span of control. Provide management with recommendations for process improvements.

Prepare the inventory report and submit to the Administrator detailing by category, special tools , and test equipment, equipment, material, etc., as required.

Prepare movement documents and DD1149s shipping documents for Government/ Customer property return or disposal, as directed by professional and/ or management.

Assist Property professionals with organizing and disposing property and materials. As required, send residual hardware to the warehouse for further processing.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

This is a SEA Union represented position.

This is a 1st shift position.

Basic Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

High school graduate or equivalent plus a minimum of nine college credit hours in accounting or business. Equivalent work experience may offset college credit hours.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

One year inventory experience with knowledge of storerooms, receiving activity and shipping activity.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level security clearance.
