Adecco US, Inc. Quality Lead - 2nd Shift in Lisle, Illinois

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Order processing:

Ensure on-time order production in the correct quantity and quality

Ensure that goods are assembled, tested and packaged in accordance with instruction manual

Plan orders and resources (machines, personnel deployment planning, shift plan creation, as well as shift allocation and holiday planning)

Report deviations in the order specification (e.g. times in the work plan, part list) to the management and initiate corrective measures

Confirm & validate orders in ordering system

Operation, and Maintenance:

Operation of simple means of transport, e.g. trolleys, box lifting devices, floor conveyors

Operation of manual and electric pallet jack vehicles, forklifts

Minimize downtime at machines

Monitoring and procurement of auxiliary and operating materials including

consumables from internal suppliers

Eliminate simple malfunctions in the production facilities

Carrying out defined, limited maintenance and repairs on the production facilities in accordance with instruction manual, or guidance from technical support

Coordination and monitoring of maintenance and repair of equipment, if necessary with internal and external service providers

On-going process monitoring, error analysis, correction and optimization

Frequent communication (in English) with Technical Support of parent company to resolve technical issues on the production line will be required

Supervision and leadership:

Instruction of employees in quality assurance measures e.g. error feedback, work instruction

Introduction and instruction of new employees at the respective workplace (e.g process flows, occupational health and safety training)

Moderation of shop floor management

Supervising employees and assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills

Manage employees' requests and transgressions, manage conflicts

Perform other functions that may be assigned.

This is a hands-on leadership role, where the shift leader will be a supervisor, and will work alongside other production associates on the production line.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications:

Must be able to read and understand and interpret instructions and safety manuals (English)

Must be able to read and understand and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations (English)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Demonstrate ability to follow directions and routines

Good math skills

Efficient time management skills

Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time

Manufacturing experience: 3 years (preferred), at least 1 year required

Prior direct or indirect leadership in manufacturing setting (preferred)

Demonstrate ability to give directions and routines

Strong technical skills

Ability to work autonomously and solution-oriented

Other requirements:

Personal protective equipment: steel-toed footwear required. All other

equipment will be provided

Ability to work varying shifts, including on weekends and additional hours

depending on service needs

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures

For safety reasons, headphones are not allowed for this position during working hours

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
