Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the designated work area within our manufacturing plant. You will be accountable for maintaining high productivity, ensuring quality standards are met, and keeping a positive and safe work environment for the team. Managing the day-to-day staffing needs of the area & scheduling vacation coverage accordingly when applicable.

Position Responsibilities

* *

• Lead team meetings communicating quality and production information and general information from other locations/departments.
• Coach and develop crew members in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping, and quality to ensure understanding and compliance of company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all production, safety, quality, and information is clearly communicated.
• Actively participate in accident/injury, including near misses, investigations and resolve any deficiencies to include engineering controls, employee education, etc.
• Perform audits in areas of safety, training, and quality to support company needs and develop countermeasures when necessary.
• Coordinate work assignments for team members.
• Administer proper corrective actions when violations occur.
• Assist with materials planning and logistics.
• Review production data turned in from each operator.
• Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Make sure all work areas are clean and free of obstruction -- including tools and toolbox.
• Promote a team environment.

Position Requirements

• Associate degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or at least 3 years manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience with advanced automation technology.
• Ability to learn and follow company policy and procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple maintenance tasks simultaneously.
• Physical strength to manage demands such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, contractors, and employees.
