We are looking for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer is responsible for researching, developing, and supporting new process technology as well as improving process technology in existing systems to support manufacturing needs for safety, quality, and productivity improvement. Customer focus is essential to ensure the needs of both internal and external customers are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, design, and develop new assembly processes to support manufacturing needs in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity improvement. Research, redesign, and improve existing processes to support manufacturing needs and changes. Identifies and error proofs customer interface point issues using PFMEA's/Control Plans and implements poke-yoke systems to minimize/eliminate occurrences. Develop standardized process designs in accordance with machine build specifications. Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing team to maintain standards or production. Utilize lean manufacturing principles in the design and development of mature assembly processes as well as new product launches. Initiate and lead problem solving teams related to internal and external customer issues, and assist other departments as needed in problem resolution. Train associates in new or modified manufacturing and quality processes. Develop and maintain good working relations with customers by acting as the liaison and driving problem resolutions for customer concerns. Ensures compliance for TS-16949 and ISO-14001, including appropriate employee training. Proofread and administer approval for quality documents (internal quality/process documents)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Strong computer skills with ability to do spreadsheets. Familiarity with mainframe systems, SAP highly desirable. Working knowledge of QS-9000. Ability/willingness to travel. Good communication skills, verbal and written. Customer service oriented; responsive to needs of internal and external customers and suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work all shifts.
