Responsibilities

The injection molding technician ensures smooth production by managing mold startups, replacements, product launches, parameter adjustments, and shutdowns.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in safety, quality, and production meetings while promoting safety.

  • Mold first article parts with complex tools and materials.

  • Troubleshoot, clean, repair, and document mold conditions for optimal performance.

  • Perform routine maintenance, such as replacing ejector or core pins.

  • Update mold setup documentation and quarantine defective parts.

  • Maintain and repair molding department equipment, including cleaning barrels and screws.

  • Drive quality, yield, and efficiency improvements aligned with company objectives.

  • Lead, mentor, and train junior technicians while collaborating with teams on initiatives like 5S and TPM.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent.

  • Experience: 8-10 years with injection molding machines.

  • Skills: Scientific molding expertise to optimize processes, troubleshoot production issues, and manage auxiliary equipment like robots, blenders, and welders.
