**NATURE OF WORK Under general supervision creates an inviting, learning environment, which fosters personal growth of educationally disadvantaged children; to nurture those attitudes, skills, and knowledge necessary for future successes in school; to build strong ties between home and school; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.

**ASSISTANT TEACHER The principal responsibility of the caregiver or staff member is the safety of our children and to have the understanding, preparation and continuous professional development for this position.

Requirements: **

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a CDA (child development associate) or some equivalent class (preservice).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete 30 hours of pre-service training as well as Background and fingerprints.
• First Aid and CPR credentials within 30 days
• Complete 30 hours in child development training every year.
• Have a positive and nice attitude with students, families and staff members.
• Most of all LOVE CHILDREN.
• Complete Center Orientation.
• New Employees are required training 30 hours paid before starting work
• Random/Routine drug test
• 90 DAY Probation with 0 absences

*Assistant Teachers Daily Responsibilities: *

Supervise

children at all times.

You will be working with children between 6 weeks old and 12 years old.

Follow a daily schedule and lesson plan

Be capable of amending a lesson plan if needed

Change diapers 7 or 10 times every child per day.

Children daily safety.

Make sure children are eating during meal time.

Let the Director or Assistant Director know if a child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, uncommon behaviors or wire attitude.

Do incident reports when something happens to the children in your classroom, and give to the Director or Assistant Director to sign immediately. (with 10 minutes)
