Responsibilities

Sterile processing technician is responsible for assuring proper disinfection, sanitation, sterilization and packaging of sterile instruments.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to disassemble, clean, assembles, sterilizes and stores procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures.

  • Works with departments in the hospital and clinic to complete requests to dispense equipment, supplies and monitors department inventory.

  • Works to meet standards of reprocessing initiatives within the organization.

  • Assist team members on cleaning and turnover of OR room.

  • Assist other members of the OR Team as needed

  • Demonstrates understanding of the hospitals mission and values and demonstrate that in your work.

  • Demonstrate consistent alignment with our behavior standards.

  • Models fiscal responsibility by cost effective use of resources consistent with hospital and system goals.

  • Work within unit to maintain productivity standards.

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated understanding of safety standards in practice in sterile processing field.

Preferred

Certification

Previous one year experience in sterile processing

Pay Range

$19.00 - $25.23 /hour
