Actalent Engineering is looking for CAD Technician/Drafter to

join our engineering team in the Little Rock, AR area

Description:

• Prepare drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using AutoCAD.

• Prepare computer generated engineering drawings according to Crist Engineers established standards and procedures.

• Review all work to ensure complete and accurate drawings are provided to engineers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of engineering drawings and principles.

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

• Ability to make minor mathematical calculations.

• Ability to operate a plotter to transfer developed drawings to an appropriate medium.

• Ability to convert verbal and written information into computer generated drawings.

• Ability to work independently, work efficiently, maintain schedule and manage deadlines.

• Ability and willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project engineers.

• Ability to review final drawings for completeness and accuracy of drawing.

• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician using AutoCAD with an emphasis in civil type drawings.

• Minimum of high school diploma or technical school training.

• Proficient with AutoCAD. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

• Knowledge of GIS software. Proficient with ARCGIS is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.
