This position is responsible for developing and executing internal communications strategies within ARDOT. This role ensures clear, transparent, and effective communication between management and employees, with a focus on policy updates, leadership decisions, and changes affecting employees.

Create and execute comprehensive communication plans to effectively convey management decisions, policy updates, and organizational changes to employees at all levels.
Work closely with Divisions and Districts to foster a transparent, inclusive, and motivating work environment by sharing key developments, success stories, and leadership initiatives.
Work closely with the Communications Division to develop agency-wide newsletters and bulletins that highlight significant organizational changes, news, achievements, and upcoming events.
Work closely with senior management to craft clear, empathetic, and impactful communications on sensitive topics such as reorganizations, new policies, salary increases, etc.
Collaborate with Divisions and Districts to enhance and promote systems for employees to provide feedback, ask questions, and engage in open dialogue with leadership.
Collaborate with the Communications Division to help shape and promote ARDOT’s internal brand, ensuring that messaging aligns with the mission, vision and values.
Partner with Divisions and Districts to produce content for internal channels, including intranet updates, emails, digital signage, and other communication mediums to ensure consistent messaging.
Collaborate with senior management to draft and implement communication plans during times of crisis or significant change, ensuring transparency and clarity.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of internal communications campaigns using feedback and metrics to refine strategies.
Minimum Requirements
Education and experience : Educational equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications, public relations, marketing, management or a related field, OR the educational equivalent to a high school diploma plus a minimum of four years of directly related experience. Experience working in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of organizational culture and employee relations. Ability to simplify complex messages and tailor them to various audiences. Proficient in email marketing platforms and internal communication channels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organization. Problem solving skills. High degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to employee concerns.
Working conditions : Office environment with occasional statewide travel.
Licenses, registrations and certifications : Valid driver’s license.
