Job Title: Machine Operator (3rd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our 3rd shift who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Stage materials for production and perform machine setup to specifications.
Adjust HMI settings, such as modifying RPMs, to regulate vacuum temperature and synchronize the speed of extrusion.
Run, operate, and perform minor preventative maintenance on machinery, including changing and cleaning extrusion heads, disassembling and cleaning machines, and changing over products 1-2 times weekly.
Maintain production on 2 lines, multitasking to monitor hopper levels, temperatures, vacuum pressures, etc.
Perform tooling changes and reassemble using basic hand tools such as crescent wrenches, allen wrenches, power tools, and hand tools.
Load product and material into the machine, monitor product flow and temperature, and modify settings to ensure quality products.
Manually push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs throughout the shift and roll 700-1200 lbs wheels every 25 minutes.
Operate sit-down, stand-up forklifts, and electric hand trucks to move materials and finished products.
Examine and sample extruded products for defects and provide samples to the lab for testing.
Perform basic testing using calipers, gauges, and other instruments to measure thickness, ID and OD tolerances, weigh samples, and log findings.
Modify products by changing settings through HMI to different temperatures and RPMs.
Perform material handling operations such as packaging, shipping, and receiving.
Operate packaging equipment and palletizing systems, and assist where needed.
Collect data on the production area.
Bend, stoop, and lift products, tools, and other items as needed to perform the job.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
