Department Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Wireless Operations to lead our 5G Wireless Program’s material management efforts. The ideal candidate will oversee a high-caliber existing team responsible for demand planning and fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of all material needs critical to the success of the program. This position will play a pivotal role in coordinating with regional teams to align on milestone execution and optimize inventory management strategies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a proficient team responsible for demand planning and material fulfillment for the 5G Wireless Program.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to ensure timely and efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials required for the program’s success.

  • Collaborate closely with regional teams to align on milestone execution and synchronize material needs across different locations.

  • Work with and leverage our existing Material Distribution Centers in order to insource critical tasks and reach additional efficiencies.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure consistent quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness of materials.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring uninterrupted material availability to support program timelines.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience (10 years) in a senior supply chain management role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, demand forecasting techniques, and inventory management strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving process improvements.

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex supply chain networks and navigate through ambiguity to deliver results.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $185,000.00/Year - $225,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
