IT Program and Business Relationship Manager is responsible for maintaining overall execution on a set of IT projects, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery. The position involves: Project Management of a set of projects within a focus area Managing project timelines, risk and interdependencies of a set of IT projects Coordinating with IT Directors and Managers for resource management within the program Serving as main point of contact for IT leadership, business leadership, and senior stakeholders Stakeholder and sponsor communications Reporting IT Program and Business Relationship Manager provides the interface between the business stakeholders and the IT teams. By doing so, the IT Program and Business Relationship Manager aligns the delivery of solutions, capabilities and other project work with the operational and strategic goals/priorities of the IT and business unit.

The IT Program and Business Relationship Manager supports the organization's business technology development and implementation efforts by overseeing and providing overall management of the organization's most important, impactful and complex technical projects such as development of new functionality, system upgrades, major system improvements and non-standard or complex implementations and integrations.

Responsibilities

The following responsibilities will be applied to managing the organization's most significant, complex and challenging technical projects. Works closely with the business leaders and IT to define delivery and execution of the strategic roadmap as well as coordinates creation of IT roadmaps to support the strategic roadmap. Works with corresponding business roles (Product, Program, Operations) to define detailed goals & requirements to define project execution of the technology build Establish and maintain relationships with the business unit's leadership team, key executives and other stakeholders. Conduct quarterly reviews with business and IT leaders - or at other intervals as specified - to validate and assess their project plans. Assist in reprioritizing to meet business unit needs as required and maintain a set of established project priorities. Identify and suggest reviews of any significant business unit/IT initiatives or projects that are challenged. Work with PMO leader and other PMO staff to identify Portfolio maturity model & defined roadmap for execution; work closely with business counterparts to identify enterprise wide efficiencies and synergistic opportunities. Lead the development and maintenance of communications and reporting related to the projects of the business units. Maintains a project management workload and coordinates with other Project Manager and Business Analyst resources to execute the set of IT projects making up a program Leads the oversight of the program projects' execution, their progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables. Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program, and resolves conflicts. Assist technical teams with development of resource requirements, building project timelines, managing interdependencies, securing required resources from IT leadership and facilitating communication with business clients Develop detailed work plans, including work breakdown structures, project milestones, risk assessment / management plans, staffing needs, project timelines and budgets. Monitor and manage project governance, execution and delivery. This includes detailed tracking of project timelines, budgets, resource utilization, activities, tasks and milestones Contribute to establishing and improving project management practices and delivery frameworks

Qualifications

Proven xperience managing large and complex projects Strong business acumen, and proven experience developing a deep knowledge of an organization's business systems & strategy Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to capture and explain goals and objectives to business, as well as technical, leadership. Excellent analytical, collaboration, strategic planning and execution skills. Effective influencing and negotiation experience and skills in an environment with fierce competition for resources among business units. A high degree of political sensitivity and astuteness; that is, the ability to effectively use the organization's informal power structure to best represent the business unit. A high degree of empathy; that is, the ability to apply different engagement styles to match the needs of a variety of business stakeholders, as well as temperaments and personalities. Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
