HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Works closely with customers and internal/external suppliers on Quality Assurance initiatives across global operating groups including China, Japan, USA, and Europe. Emphasis is placed on understanding key accounts and developing account requirements above and beyond general specifications. Introduces Quality Assurance initiatives that provide operational groups balanced and clear objectives aimed at providing customers with 100% first article acceptance. Implements Quality Assurance practices such as FMEA, DOE, FACA, SPC and others where practical or necessary. Requires frequent domestic travel and periodic Asian travel in support of these quality initiatives. Supports products in the automotive, semiconductor or other industries.
Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Develops and implements quality assurance initiatives across the Ferrotec global operating groups.
Understands and defines requirements and specifications for key accounts and communicates these requirements to each manufacturing source.
Develops and implements organizational capabilities in the areas of FACA, FMEA, DOE, SPC and other quality assurance methods suitable for Ferrotec’s Thermal Solutions products.
Responsible for the management of the Quality Assurance Program.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor of Science or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
10 years’ experience in quality engineering and quality assurance techniques.
Strong computer skills including Excel and Word.
Results oriented management style.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills.
Physical & Environmental requirements:
Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
Occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Occasional exposure to low temperatures and high temperatures
Constant sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
Occasional light to heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
Occasional ability to travel.
