Job Overview:
The Clerical Associate assumes responsibility for all clerical functions on a nursing unit, including the transcription of all physician orders, transport of specimens, room turnover/set up, stocking rooms, escort patients to assigned patient care areas, SMS registration of patients. Registration of patients as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
Preferred:
Post Secondary Degree
Emergency Department Clerical Experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift Working: 7:00AM-3:00PM
Per Diem Requirements: One (1) Winter Holiday, One (1) Summer Holiday, and One (1) Weekend Per Month
