Description:

Catering Coordinator will receive and process catering orders through appropriate systems and work with catering clients in order to plan, stage, deliver and set-up caterings as scheduled.

This includes basic food preparation and food arrangement, delivery and retrieval of equipment, supplies and food items from the day’s caterings and the breakdown all products retrieved from catered events as well as maintaining the cleanliness of catering areas.

Responsible for the planning and staging future caterings, the restocking all catering supplies and making requests for any items that need to be ordered for scheduled events and scheduling staff.

Duties will also include delivering and maintaining stock and supplies throughout the SO building

  • Restocks all catering supplies and makes note of any items that need to be ordered

  • Deliver and maintain supplies and stock in kitchen and throughout the building

  • Basic food preparation and arrangement

  • Contact catering clients about specific needs for events

  • Receive and process catering orders through SO catering system

  • Assist Retail Manager with creation of event pull sheets

  • Assist Retail Manager in managing catering event computer software program

Job Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: 1-3 years previous catering experience required

  • Able to read, write and perform basic math

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Must be customer-oriented, organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to work with a deadline and on multiple activities at a time

  • Able to work flexible schedule

  • Able to routinely lift 30 pounds

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Self-managing / Time management

  • High standard of personal hygiene

  • Email and basic computer competency (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

Job and Technical Competencies

  • Stage, deliver and set-up caterings as scheduled

  • Personnel Management: Provides leadership and direction for all accountable associates (direct, indirect, and middle management), ensuring all levels of the organization are aligned and supportive of the goals and objectives of each Ministry Organization as well as those at the UEM level.
