ZF Active Safety US Inc. has a job opening for the position of Senior Sales Manager (Braking) based out of its location in Farmington Hills, MI.

 

*Job Duties: * This is a relationship management and global customer development role with General Motors, responsible for support and development of existing and future business potential for ZF braking products across the global market; Maintain global responsibility for sales relationships with customers of all sizes; Develop account strategy to achieve all current and future KPIs including growth and profitability targets; Responsible to manage the global sales team, supporting their work in furtherance of achieving ZF profitability, growth and sales targets; Responsible for customer satisfaction and relationship quality, including issues of cost, delivery, or product quality; Identify global market trends and market shifts, and adapting account strategy to include new products and status of competitors, all in furtherance of proactively positioning ZF to support/meet the needs of the market; Develop and execute strategic planning for achieving sales goals and growing the customer base; Lead negotiations on all contractual and pricing issues including inflation, indexation (FX, raw material, etc), terms and conditions management, warranty and margin improvement ; responsible for acquisition of business in conjunction with respective product lines according to ZF strategic and operational planning.  Responsible to manage internal and external customer giveback (business plan) process. A hybrid (in-office & telecommute) work schedule is available. Up to 20% travel to domestic and international locations.

*Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, or related field, plus 9 years of business relationship management experience with General Motors and Shanghai GM (SGM) in advanced braking systems, and demonstrated experience with: managing a global team (incl SA and China) responsible for >$500m in annual revenue including all aspects of human resource management; General Motors sourcing process for braking systems; General Motors ATW process (Advanced Technical Work); Achieving GM Prime Supplier Status, growth targets, align technology roadmap and address performance gaps (commercial, quality, warranty, operational, supply); GM Command Center; GM Operational Excellence (OPEX) process; Advanced non vacuum braking products; and General Motors Purchasing, Supply and Quality processes including SSE, BTAB, EWO, PIAF, GM Supply Power, ECR, QUAD, GPS, Engineering Prequalification Requirements.
