Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to utilize a stand-up forklift or Reach Truck to move corrugated product, pick products from double-deep racks, and perform various tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, cycle counting, and verifying inventory. You will ensure the accuracy of product loads and guarantee timely and complete delivery. Routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, or fueling, will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will weigh materials or products and record relevant data on tags or labels, as well as signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a stand-up forklift or Reach Truck to move corrugated product

• Pick products from double-deep racks

• Operate a cherry picker

• Load and unload trucks

• Cycle counting and verifying inventory

• Review product load for accuracy and ensure timely and complete delivery

• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, or fueling

• Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags or labels

• Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience with stand-up forklifts

• Experience with Reach Trucks

• Order picking

• Cycle counting

• Inventory management

• Shipping and receiving

• Material handling

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Team player

• Problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

• Minimum of 6 months driving a stand-up forklift

• FL Certification is not required as in-house certification will be provided

Work Environment

You will work in a brand new, well-lit, and very clean facility. Steel-toe shoes are required. The available shift is from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockport, Illinois.

Pay & Available Shift

Currently hiring for 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30 pm

Pay: starting at $20.25 for the role
