PITCHER LAW PLLC Associate Attorney in LOGAN, Utah

All Applicants regardless of Experience encouraged to apply. Must be admitted to practice law in Utah and/or Idaho to apply.

Preferred Experience

  • Must be admitted to practice law in Utah and/or Idaho. Both is preferable, or willingness to obtain the other license within reasonable time.
  • Prefer 2-3 years' Experience in Family, Criminal or Civil litigation.
  • Experience in attending hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Able to present evidence and oral arguments to courts, juries, and administrative / government bodies.
  • Complying with all legal standards, regulations, and deadlines
  • Must possess the highest ethical standards of professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, handle cases from inception through resolution.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients while also advising them on any issues relating to Court cases
  • Willing to relocate to the Cache Valley area or commute.
  • Wage DOE

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not necessary.

  • Having the ability to complete negotiated billable hours per month.

  • Seeking long-term position/with a future partnership track

  • Computer knowledgeable.

  • Ability to do initial consultations with potential clients.

  • Ability to work well with others, be a team-player with an openness to learning and collaborating with others.

  • Have excellent written, verbal communication skills, organizational skills, Deadline- and detail-oriented, reliable, strong follow-through with commitments, and strong legal analysis, and research skills.

  • Communicating effectively and timely with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Return telephone messages within 24 hours of receipt; return email messages in a timely manner as appropriate.

  • Reviewing, editing and negotiating-disclosure agreements, while interacting with clients and counterparties as necessary to finalize documents and negotiating settlements for legal disputes.

  • Always promote and maintain confidentiality of client information.

  • Possess a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor, while maintaining a well-respected reputation amongst clients, opposing counsel, Judges, Court staff, and colleagues.

  • Comply with the dress code of Pitcher Law PLLC.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolong sitting
  • Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at a time.
