Overview The Program Coordinator II of Community Education and Professional Development for USU's Transforming Communities Institute (TCI) will be dedicated to developing, implementing, and evaluating education offerings that contribute to fostering change through evidence-based solutions in Utah, including relevant workshops, seminars, conferences, and continuing education sessions. The program coordinator will utilize a community-engaged approach to assess education needs and identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with Utah communities and their leaders, practitioners, and residents. The coordinator will also organize and host local and state events on community engagement and other topics relevant to TCI's mission.
Responsibilities This role will assume responsibilities to build and maintain capacity for these activities:
Program/Event Development and Implementation
- Collaboratively design educational programs, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and continuing education sessions, that align with TCI's mission and goals.
Manage the logistics and administration of educational programs, including scheduling, venue coordination, registration, and communication with participants. Community Needs Assessment
Engage with community leaders, practitioners, and residents to gather input on educational needs and priorities.
Use data-driven approaches to tailor educational offerings that address the specific needs of various communities. Partnership and Collaboration
Identify and develop partnerships with other USU units, community organizations, local governments, non-profits, and other stakeholders to support program development and delivery.
Work with partners to co-design and co-host educational events and initiatives. Event Planning and Coordination
Organize and host local and state events focused on community engagement, social change, and other relevant topics.
- Lead coordination of event planning, including securing speakers, marketing the event, and managing on-site logistics.
Ensure that events are aligned with TCI's mission and contribute to the institute's goals. Evaluation and Reporting
Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of programs and events.
- Collect and analyze data from program participants to measure outcomes and impact.
Prepare reports on program performance and impact for internal use and external stakeholders. Outreach and Promotion
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote educational programs and events.
- Work with marketing professionals to create promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media content, to raise awareness of TCI's offerings.
