The Site Leader/Plant Manager for Cytiva is responsible for leading an organization of 400+ employees that manufacture and distribute Cell Culture Media products including proprietary and custom Dry Powder Medias, Large and Small Volume format Liquid Medias, Serum products and Single Use Bioprocess Containers. This role is accountable for leading the following functions: Manufacturing, Environmental, Health and Safety; Materials Management including Warehouse & Logistics; Quality Control; Manufacturing & Project Engineering, Manufacturing Maintenance; System Support & Business Continuity and Process Improvement through the local Danaher Business System team. The site also hosts functions like R&D, Quality Assurance, Materials Sciences, Global Sourcing, HR and IT. Most weeks there are customers visiting the site for Quality & Technical Capability Audits and the site is completing a significant capacity expansion that is scheduled for completion in 2026.

Recognized as a senior leader you will lead a very sophisticated 24/5 manufacturing operation, influence senior management and develop / implement system-wide strategic business plans for the manufacturing plant. You will be expected to collaborate with the other global Cell Culture Media sites. This role is responsible for leading plant-manufacturing operations, and meeting operational defined targets such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost.

This position is part of the Cell Culture Media business unit located in Logan, Utah and is on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Ensure a safe work environment and follow all existing laws and regulations, using Global Danaher EHS related tools.

  • Driving manufacturing team towards execution of Business Goals and Strategic initiatives using DBS (Danaher Business System) tools such as Daily Management, Standard Work, Danaher Material System, Problem-Solving Processes and Total Productive Maintenance.

  • Ensuring sufficient capacity exists to ensure good On-Time-Delivery and meet customer commitments according to the demand plans.

  • Drive Product Quality, Lean and Manufacturing projects to meet internal business metrics. Includes project execution of New Product Development to be manufactured at the site, and meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets defined in the projects.

  • Follow Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws/regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar technical degree. Advanced degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.

  • 8+ years of process manufacturing and supply chain experience, ideally in a regulated or chemical processing industry. Demonstrate a proven track record of manufacturing site leadership or supply chain management with strong cross functional collaboration and people management skills.

  • 5+ years of experience with and demonstrated successful implementation & sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices such as 5S, Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban etc.

  • Great presentation skills demonstrated both internally and towards customers.

  • Excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills. Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical "hands-on" operational plans and strategies.

  • Financial & Budget management including knowledge of manufacturing financial metrics and the ability to convey this to the site team as well as business leadership.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $185,000 - $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
