Information Technology Co-op
The Information Technology Intern/Co-op is responsible for day to day IT support. This includes but is not limited to level 1 program and plant support, taking calls, assisting end-users and communicating with the service desk. Assist with installation and maintenance of computers, servers, network hardware and software.
45 % Support plant operations with level 1 hardware and software support; answer end-use calls, and determine support required and assist when appropriate
35 % Assist service desk with assigned incidents and provide technical support to employees using software packages on the network; investigate, identify, and resolve hardware and software problems for PC’s and servers
10 % Assist with installation and maintenance of new computer/network hardware and software; ensure the Altiris inventory system is current and apply information protection standards to PC’s and servers
10 % Assist with special projects, which may include server refresh or web development; install and configure software and hardware
Cargill offers both housing assistance and relocation reimbursement to co-ops who qualify (based on mileage)
Co-ops are paid and are at least 4 months in duration
Day–to-day transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the intern.
Students who demonstrate exceptional performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered a full-time position for the following year.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology from an accredited program graduating between December 2023 and May 2025.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill Canada
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Able to complete a 4 or 8 month co-op starting in September 2022

Experience in client support
Overall 3.0 GPA or higher
