Job Description:

The L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions Sector is seeking a Product Manager to provide leadership for our night vision goggle product line and future advanced networked goggle opportunities. This role is responsible for managing the cost and schedule requirements of a product line offering through all phases from proposal to distribution. The product manager analyzes and designs technical product enhancements, integrating the work of research and development, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service functions for all or part of a new or potential product offerings. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with proficient knowledge of night vision goggles and practical strategy and project management skills, as they will provides strategic technical consultation to field personnel and customers during the early life cycle of new product offerings. With full lifecycle coverage, the product manager provides product consultation to research and development in the design stage of product offerings, along with planning, preparing, and presenting product introduction strategies. The product manager is highly cross-functional, and participates in the marketing, forecasting and financial aspects of the product offering. This role will be based out of our Londonderry, NH facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall product portfolio management of the Night Vision Goggle Portfolio

  • Market sizing and development of business cases for recommended offerings

  • Definition of market requirements and conversion into specific product description documents for the execution teams

  • Recommending IRAD strategy and investments to engineer night vision goggles for the connected battlefield

  • Managing the product line projects through checkpoint reviews, engineering reconciliation and launch dates for on time delivery.

  • Improving product line to drive customer value; driving a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Achieving target customer pipeline, pricing strategy, catalog part numbers, target revenue and cost targets based on the approved product business cases.

  • Developing sales tools and training to grow customer pipeline and sales. Support trade shows, customer demonstrations and sales presentations.

  • Understanding the end-to-end battlefield concept of operations required for mission success to determine new offerings for the night vision goggle portfolio.

  • Contributing to the growth of our system offerings by recommending, demonstrating, and collaborating with teams across the division to bring other L3Harris segments and commercial technologies to the tactical battlefield.

  • Working across Sales/BD, Program Management, and Engineering to deliver night vision goggle offerings from concept to production and sustainment.

  • Working closely with Marketing for marketing messaging, collateral, thought leadership and trade shows.

  • Providing domain expertise in tactical solutions including all steps of the tactical system value chain such as the design, plan, implementation, configuration, and test, from inception to customer handoff. Demonstrate customer requirements are met

  • Ability to travel up 25% or more, including international travel as needed

  • This position may require the candidate to be able to obtain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in night vision goggle product lines and practical project management, capable of managing projects or processes with general supervision.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain and interpret technical product information, operational processes, practices, and procedures to diverse audiences.

  • Experienced in supporting product life cycle processes, practices, and procedures to ensure product integrity and performance.

  • Skilled in recommending enhancements to current and future products, systems, and processes to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving operational targets for specific programs and projects, contributing significantly to departmental outcomes.

  • Experience in sales and front-end business operations, including effective face-to-face customer interactions to understand needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Military service/background is preferred.

  • Familiarity with night vision goggles – image intensifiers, thermal camera systems, and tactical networks is a plus.
