Sierra Nevada Corporation Electrical Engineer III - 3D Routing Lead (Hybrid Eligible) in Lone Tree, Colorado

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer III with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field. You will have the opportunity to help us develop and maintain 3D routing processes, implement and test 3DX CATIA, and support direct programs as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 3D routing.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new process documentation for 3D routing, including coordinating with additional stakeholders for implementing the end to end electrical process

  • Maintaining and updating previously developed 3D routing documentation

  • Leading 3D routing training for applicable IAS Electrical Engineers

  • Supporting the ECAD implementation team to develop 3DX CATIA as the SME for 3D routing

  • Providing guidance to direct programs as the SME for 3D routing (typically including bundle de-rating, Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS), and separation requirements/design/verifications)

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams

  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Experience with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis

  • Experience with 2D logical electrical design tools like 3DX CATIA Electrical (preferred), Siemens Capital, or Zuken E3

  • Experience with 3D routing electrical design tools like 3DX CATIA Routing (preferred), Siemens NX, or SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D

  • Background in the aerospace and defense industry

  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

  • FAA certification experience (Part 23 and 25)

  • Military certification experience (MIL-HDBK-516)

  • Knowledge of guidance and certification of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)

  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)

  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes

  • Understanding of Electromagnetic Environments (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
