Charles Schwab Sr Manager, IT Product Management in Lone Tree, Colorado

The Offer Order (O2) team is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the core internal platform which drives segmentation, preferences, eligibility, and targeted client experiences across all channels and business lines.

The Senior Manager, IT Product Management (individual contributor) will report to an O2 Group Product Manager. The Senior Product Manager is a key member of the product team, responsible for supporting the wide range of products and experience that O2 supports by prioritizing, grooming, and executing against a backlog of initiatives. They must have a passion for building products, the ability to manage complex and technical work, with a strong focus on data and understanding how it works and is used by business partners and stakeholders. The Senior Manager will work across a wide range of stakeholders to optimize our experiences and platforms. This role will support software development teams in an agile environment including the coordination, prioritization, and communication across business product areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of Agile product ownership, working cross-functionality, stakeholder management, and project management experience.

The successful Senior Manager, IT Product Managemen t will create quality and consistent experiences within the O2 platform. The scope ranges from product discovery, strategy, roadmap development, and partnering with technology to design and create modern, scalable experiences. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Work with product and engineering leadership on objectives, quarterly roadmaps, and proposals

  • Partner with business owners to intake enhancement requests, document impact, and define and track detailed requirements

  • Manage platform backlog, aligning on business priority, and communicating progress updates to stakeholders

  • Have a high degree of attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects with urgency, meeting required deadlines

  • Lead requirements writing using iterative Agile methodology in JIRA, defining acceptance criteria, partnering with technology, attending scrum meetings, and implementing technical enhancements

  • Collaborate with technology partners on backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning

  • Perform technical certifications during internal and external production releases, outside of regular business hours

  • Support business team day-to-day platform questions and assist in production support triage, acting as a liaison with technology partners, and escalate as needed

  • Work with business partners to understand business processes, process flows, business needs and analyze pain points, identify viable solutions, and implement enhancements

  • Independently manage and coordinate project tasks, lead analysis interviews, owns facilitation of discussions, and communications with impacted areas regarding project

  • Investigate and validate reported issues to assess risk and exposure and provide input on prioritization

  • Implement strategic communication plans and ensure effective internal and external messaging across multiple platforms

  • Can identify and define problems, extract key information from data and develop workable solutions for the problems identified to test and verify the cause of the problem and develop solutions to resolve the problems identified

What you have

Required Qualifications:

5 + years of experience in digital product management:

Experience with all facets of product management, including product discovery techniques, design thinking, and Agile development practices. Experience leading and directing a technology scrum team. Experience working with and analyzing complex data sets to make data-driven decisions and recommendations. Demonstrated success with defining and launching products in a complex corporate environment.

Project execution:

Experience with project planning, dependencies management, and business analysis. Able to define use cases and business logic within user stories.

Technical proficiencies with:

Confluence, SharePoint, SQL, JIRA, Adobe suite and advanced usage of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

Exceptional communication and collaboration -

Experience producing storytelling decks for socialization and buy-ins. Able to communicate at the strategic level (strategy/vision) as well as tactical level (status updates), and able to articulate a complex task or analysis to individuals at all levels of the company. Skilled in working with a cross-functional team, balancing trade-offs and re-prioritization as needed. Strong people skills, emotional maturity, and sound decision-making capabilities; Experience in the financial services industry.

CO Salary Range: USD $101,000 - $164,500 / Year
