Job Description : HSE Manager (Construction)

Reporting : Project Manager

Location : : In the South of Vietnam

Tasks – Activities – Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate with relative parties regarding maintenance health, environment and safety regulations, labor safety procedures, fire - explosion fighting procedures.

  • Conduct and follow up registration and verification of machines, equipment's and materials subject to strict occupational safety requirements on site.

  • Patrol site, speed up contractors to obey safety regulations, safety standards, health - environment regulations and propose measures to improve unsafe situations on site.

  • Supervise and inspect contractor’s safety officer, receive daily HSE checklist, weekly HSE report.

  • Issue Site Safety Instruction to Contractor, follow up and apply NCR penalty (If necessary).

  • Report and investigate any incident, accident and security on site.

  • Participate in site meetings.

  • Prepare reports on daily, weekly basis as required relevant to his job.

  • Stop unsafe practices on site anytime.

  • Provide first aid, know the hospital and fire department locations including its procedure of communication.

  • Work on inspection of scaffolding, mobile and tower cranes, other construction related equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, piling machine, electrical DB board, etc), fall arrest systems

  • Ensure that SAFETY is carried out in its full implementation on site.

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field;

  • At least 10 years experience in HSE Manager/Leader in construction & building field.

  • Relevant certification in HSE management, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.

  • Prefer candidates who have experience of managing overall of HSSE of green field factory.

  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Have appropriate practice certificate in accordance with state regulations.

Technical and professional skills

  • Fluent in reading, writing & speaking English

  • Good command in office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, …)

  • Can work independently under pressure

  • Can arrange to travel for related jobs
