Material Handler/Forklift – $20.00 P/H

Whats in it for you?

What will you be doing?

• Operate forklift in a safe manner at all times, and hold a valid Forklift Operator’s certificate.

• Operate a pick crane to unload and load containers.

• Operate a terminal tractor (yard goat).

• Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists or elevating platform, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.

• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices or other transport vehicles.

• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.

• Dispatch of truck drivers (back-up), answers phones, filing, inspects order and delivery paperwork for accuracy, assist Logistics Manager with reporting and shipment planning schedule

What do you bring?

• Must have a valid Class A driver license

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Minimum 2yrs operating power industrial equipment (e.g. forklift, cranes, etc)

• Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and holidays

• Must be bilingual English and Spanish

• Computer literacy – Outlook, Word, Excel

• Must be precise and pay attention to details Physical requirements: some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, twisting, bending and lifting. Ability to lift up to 75lbs
