Compensation Range:$140,000 - $185,000 depending upon education, skills, and experience.

Job Description:

Lead the architectural design, development, testing, and implementation of rugged power and data distribution solutions for cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems. Translate high-level requirements into robust designs by leveraging COTS solutions and existing custom libraries. Oversee hardware procurement, working closely with the supplier base. Manage hardware testing and debugging processes to identify and resolve root causes of failures. Ensure the application of safe electrical and power practices at all times. Document progress against requirements and prepare comprehensive test reports. Develop documentation templates for engineers and technician to ensure quality assessments of cables and devices.

Responsibilities: Lead the EE team in developing Electrical System Architecture using ECAD tools (Altium Harness), balancing data, power, thermal, and mechanical constraints while leveraging a library of custom and COTS components Managethespecification,design,procurement/building,andtestingofruggedMI L-STDpowerdistributionsolutions. OverseethedesignandtestingofMIL-STDdataandpowercablingsolutions. Collaborate with mechanical and electro-optical engineers on the integration of cabling, power, and cooling solutions. Ensuresafeelectricalandpowerpracticesatalltimes. Troubleshoot and resolve integrated power system issues from the component to the system level. Utilize test hardware safely to trace problems and identify root causes. DevelopandimplementbondingandgroundingspecificationsandEMImitigationsolutions.
