This role offers a unique opportunity to blend teaching, curriculum development, student advising, and program leadership. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative educator with a passion for advancing computer science education and creating inclusive, equitable learning environments for a diverse student population.

 

As a faculty member, you will teach undergraduate courses, primarily at the junior and senior levels, while developing a cutting-edge curriculum that is engaging and accessible to all students. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of computer science education in southwest Washington. You'll connect and engage with local high schools and community organizations to promote the program and recruit a diverse student body. We are committed to offering a learning experience that meets the needs of all students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds in technology. We offer flexibility with class schedules, which may include days, evenings, and weekends based on program needs.

The Faculty position is 173 contract days (fall, winter, spring) with an anticipated start of September 2025. The Computer Science Faculty reports to the Dean of Instruction. Courses are delivered through multiple modalities including online, hybrid, and in-person. The salary range is $75,160 to $97,409 based on education and experience. Please note the salary amount within this posting is reflective of the 2024-25 salary amounts and does not include any legislatively funded COLA for the 2025-26 year. For applicants relocating to the LCC's service district, we are able to provide up to $5,000 in relocation funds in accordance with our travel policies.

Designing and instructing courses in a manner that promotes student engagement and success for a racially and culturally diverse student population spanning a broad range of languages, identities, socioeconomic levels, and educational experiences
