Integrated Power Services NETA Field Service Technician in Longview, Washington

Description Hourly Pay Range: $40.00/hr. - $60.00/hr. Key Responsibilities and Expectations: We're seeking a Field Service Technician for our Longview Service Center, responsible for expertise in examining, testing, and resolving issues in electrical systems up to 500kV. This individual, skilled in relay calibration, power metering, transformer tests, and more, will be available for on-call responses, possess strong communication skills, and adhere to safety protocols while working collaboratively in a team. Responsibilities include: Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up, and collect data of low, medium, and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems, and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. Instrument transformer tests Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc. Test both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays Cable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DCHipot Motor Testing Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting Low, Medium, and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing Emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills Qualifications and Competencies: High school diploma or GED required. Requires 3+ years of driving experience Associate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience/training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee) preferred. Must have at least 5 or more years of relevant experience NETA Certification (II, III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training. Ability to travel locally and overnight. Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required, willingness to be on call. Work safely alone and as part of a team Closely adhere to all electrical safety procedures Effectively contributes to a strong team environment by assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 lbs. in weight. Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical exam. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods. Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per day. Acute hearing and a strong field of vision Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
