Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in LORAIN, Ohio, 44052-4100, United States. This role involves various responsibilities related to financial reporting, cash management, and month-end closing in a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for billing and accounts receivable (AR), as well as supervising an AP Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient financial reporting of the organization

• Collaborate with auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

• Manage cash flow and prepare forecasts to ensure financial stability

• Coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate

• Oversee the billing and AR processes to ensure timely payment from customers

• Supervise an AP Accountant, providing guidance and support as needed

• Utilize MS Great Plains Dynamics for various accounting tasks

• Ensure all financial operations align with the manufacturing industry standards.

• Solid understanding of financial reporting processes

• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Experience with budgeting and forecasting

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
