Description

We are in search of an Accounting Assistant based in Los Angeles, California. This role primarily entails maintaining accounts payable files, preparing financial documents, and assisting with account analysis and coding. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant team and contribute significantly to our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize accounts payable files effectively.

• Assist with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivables.

• Respond to general accounting emails and telephone calls in a timely manner.

• Assist in the preparation of Annual 1099’s and 1042’s.

• Ensure the accuracy of invoices for payment and process them accordingly.

• Prepare and process daily check deposits into the bank.

• Assist in account analysis and account coding, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

• Reconcile account balances regularly to maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform filing, mailing, and other duties as required.

• Prepare Excel schedules for cash transactions.

• Maintain vendor records.

• Oversee the annual storage process.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Demonstrated experience with various accounting functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing functions

• Understanding of Form 1099 procedures

• Experience in filing and record keeping

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
