UCLA Health Application Developer in Los Angeles, California

Description

In this role, you will work directly with client managers and individual contributors to assess their applications needs, propose solutions and will oversee the building, testing, and implementation of approved efforts. Additionally, you will manage and track service requests and incident resolutions throughout their life cycle, ensuring the quality of design, programming, and testing.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • support of a diverse range of computer applications, in particular mobile and web-based systems

  • the maintenance, problem resolution, enhancements, and extensions of functionality for existing enterprise computer applications

  • development of new applications as assigned

  • ensure compliance with version control standards

To succeed in this role, you will collaborate with peers and management in the development of processes to support quality application support. This includes coding, tracking, documentation, and version control standards. Along with giving work direction to others, you will be expected to accomplish application analysis, code modification and development, and project management.

This is a flex-hybrid role which will require

you to be onsite at least 3 days per quarter or as required by operational

need. Please note that there are no reimbursements for travel to 'home office'

location. Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager

which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully

understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject

to termination.

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $86,900- $197,300 annually. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately $150,000 - $170,000 annually.

Qualifications

1.Bachelor of Science degree in applicable IT disciplines highly desired.

  1. Minimum 5 years of software development experience in web applications on Windows and/or Linux platform with any of the following IIS, Websphere, Apache, Tomcat, etc.

  2. Hands on development experience using multiple languages/technologies such as .Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTFul, SOAP, FHIR, HL7, MQ, OAuth/SAML.

  3. Experience supporting Microsoft SharePoint and building applications on Microsoft Power Platform a plus.

  4. Understanding of network communication and security standards such as TCP/IP, HTTPS, TLS 1.2, etc.

  5. Familiar with Jira, Github, both Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies.

  6. Knowledge on electronic health record solution preferred.

  7. Demonstrated skills to work with others, skills in writing and verbal communications, and ability to multitask.
