    Position description

The laboratory of Stephen G. Young in the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a position at the level of Assistant Project Scientist. The candidate will be engaged in lipid metabolism research and will require expertise in molecular and cellular biology as well as physiology experiments in genetically modified mice. An M.D. and/or Ph.D. is required, along with two years of basic research experience.

A reasonable estimate for this position is $74,100 - $85,900. See Table 37-B [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2024-25/july-2024-scales/t37-b.pdf].

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

An M.D. and/or Ph.D. is required.

Additional qualifications

Two years of basic research experience is required.
