AON Broker I, National Casualty Practice in Los Angeles, California
We are looking to add a Broker I to our Los Angeles team! Our National Casualty group is constantly in the marketplace, our professionals are on the forefront of innovation, challenging the status quo to design, place and implement customized solutions. We have in-depth centers of excellence in heavy industry, automotive manufacturing, food & agriculture, energy and life sciences, among other industries.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Los Angeles office.

What the day will look like
The National Casualty Practice is a premier team of casualty brokerage professionals with extensive experience in representing buyers of primary casualty in the western region.
Establishes ability to work with moderately complex national casualty accounts
Over time developing skills to handle own book of business
Develop and present casualty renewal presentations to clients
Possesses and utilizes negotiation skills for the casualty brokerage process
Establishes client facing skills including effective oral and written presentation
Knowledge and interaction with casualty markets and established carrier relationships
Interaction with Aon Account Executives, Producers and other internal brokerage resources
Prepares primary casualty submissions
Analyzing carrier quotations and coverage review
Ability to interpret and utilize actuarial results
Possesses basic competency of casualty coverage forms and exclusions
Contract review of insurance requirements
Some traveling for onsite client visits/meetings

3+ years of National Casualty Broker or Underwriter experience
Client facing
Excellent communication skills
Team player
Strong experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Insurance Risk Management
Active P&C License or willingness to obtain it

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $78,200-130,300 annually . The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Los Angeles, California. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
Whether it is bonus /commission eligible
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
