Our client, a renowned research institution, is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join their ever growing team!

Pay: $30-$45/hr

Schedule:

• PM Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

• Rotating weekends; must be available to work every other weekend.

• Willingness to work holidays is required.

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing specimens for analysis and performing a range of waived, moderate, or high-complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Ensures all processes comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines from FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and the Joint Commission. Additionally, participates in teaching and training students and staff. Duties are carried out under the authorization of the Laboratory Director in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CFR Section 493.1445(a)).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensure: Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year as a Clinical Microbiology CLS, preferably in a hospital setting. Must have hands-on experience in microbiology, with specific expertise in reading Gram Stains (especially Positive Blood Cultures), AFB Stains, KOH stains, Fungal Stains, Parasitology stains, and performing Molecular Clinical PCR testing.
