Harper Construction Company is seeking a Contractor Safety Representative (CSR) for a Build LACCD project located in Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, and public.
Spend the majority of the workday physically present and on the project site.
Conduct new employee safety orientation and ongoing job-specific safety training.
Draft and conduct weekly “all hands safety meetings” with the entire project workforce.
Enforce all applicable State, Federal, Local regulations, and owner/contractual requirements or regulations.
Take prompt corrective action when necessary, including reprimanding workers who are not following the rules.
Conduct and document daily safety and health inspections.
Participate in safety pre-construction, owner/ client, weekly foremen, or other meetings.
Identify known/potential hazards, or deficiencies and recommend the corrective actions thereof
Maintain a comprehensive Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), and safety documentation binder on site.
Promotion of a positive safety culture and always lead by example.
Required Qualifications
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), or
Certified Safety Manager-Construction (CSM-C) from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP), and
Five (5) years of recent similar construction health and safety experience, and
Current First Aid/ CPR training from a provider recognized by OSHA
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Safety and Health or related discipline.
Structural Steel, concrete, and CMU construction experience.
OSHA 500 OTI Train the trainer certification.
First Aid/ CPR/ AED Trainer.
Competent and/or experienced in Haz Com, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platforms, Scaffolding, PPE requirements, Confined Space, Ladders, LOTO, Trenching/ Excavation, Demolition, and Heavy Equipment.
Ability to successfully navigate a computer for the purpose of reviewing, revising, saving, and signing safety documentation.
Experience with Procore.
Bilingual, English/ Spanish is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
$120,000 to $130,000 salary range
The offered rate will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience.
This position is eligible for our benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance. We also offer a 401(k) plan with company match, company paid holidays and vacation.
