Robert Half DevOps Engineer in Los Angeles, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role involves the development and maintenance of software systems that improve our operational efficiency, system availability, and performance. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment, collaborating with a diverse team to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain software tools and platforms to enhance system efficiency and performance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and deliver solutions

• Utilize various cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deploying and managing applications

• Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL), web servers, and UI/UX design to ensure optimal system functionality

• Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools to manage and automate deployments

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

• Leverage skills in Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, Apex Coding, Atlassian Jira, Automation, and AWS Technologies

• Implement configuration management and continuous integration (CI) practices to improve system reliability and scalability

• Create dashboards to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement

• Maintain regular communication with team members, providing updates on project progress and collaborating on solutions to challenges. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Amazon EC2, Ansible, Apache ANT+, and AWS Technologies

• Demonstrable knowledge in Apex Coding and Atlassian Jira

• Strong skills in automation and configuration management

• Proven experience in continuous integration (CI) and creating dashboards

• Must have a deep understanding of coding and scripting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
