UCLA Health Director of Quality & Equity - New Century Health Plan in Los Angeles, California

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer for Medicare Advantage, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing quality improvement and performance initiatives. You will:

  • Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive quality management programs

  • Ensure that the highest standards of healthcare delivery and member satisfaction are consistently achieved

  • Lead efforts to meet and exceed performance goals for New Century Health Plan

  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operational teams to drive optimal health outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting equity in care delivery

Salary Range: $124,600- $289,400/annually

Qualifications

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced leader with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field

  • Master's degree in a healthcare related field, highly desired

  • 7-10 years of healthcare quality improvement experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role within a Medicare Advantage plan or similar setting

  • In-depth knowledge of CMS regulations, HEDIS, CAHPS, STAR ratings, and NCQA accreditation

  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and tools, such as Model for Improvement, PDSA, Six Sigma, etc.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate a team

  • Proven leadership skills, with an openness to change and the ability to implement creative programs that support strategic goals

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
