UCLA Health Group Therapist in Los Angeles, California
Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time
Behavioral Health Professional to join our Family Focused Program. You will
assist with outpatient therapy groups or the UCLA Parenting Program for
Children and Adolescents as well as the Children's Friendship Program. These
programs provide evidence-based skills through individual psychotherapy and
treatment to school age children. Primary duties include:
Assessing youth eligibility for participation in outpatient therapy groups for pediatric related disorders
Conducting group based interventions to patients
Working with interdisciplinary team to devise and implement group/individual therapy sessions and treatment plans
Administering interviews and rating scales
Providing treatment plan to pediatric patients
Complete required paperwork for assessments and treatment sessions
Please note: This is a limited position that may convert to career.Qualifications
MA's in Marriage Family Therapy or Social Work
Knowledge of expertise in Psychology protocols
Knowledge of relevant psychological, medical, and psychiatric
terminology
Knowledge and expertise in treatment manuals/protocols pertaining
to childhood disorders
Knowledge of administering rating scales and other study related
tools
Skill in interacting with person of various social and educational
backgrounds and age levels
Ability to learn and consistently follow program protocols and
procedures and monitory quality assurance with a high level of accuracy and
attention to detail
Skill in working with large research team
Skill in working with word processing, excel spreadsheets, and
data management programs
